CHILDREN’S COMPETITION: 1. please take a picture, colour it and bring for next Mass. Prizes are waiting. 2. Make your own rosary, bring to the church and put in front of the altar. 3. For All Saint’s Day children please wear your favourite Saint costume.
MISSION SUNDAY: Today, with every Catholic in every parish in the world, we celebrate World Mission Sunday. The theme our Late Holy Father, Pope Francis, chose is “Missionaries of Hope to all Peoples”. In this Jubilee Year of Hope, let us show our solidarity of faith with our Catholic brothers and sisters in those parts of the Church where it is small, young and poor, such as the Church in Bolivia. Our prayers and generous financial support, given through Missie Scotland, will enable them to be a source of God’s love for the communities of which they are part. Your prayers and financial assistance will support missionary priests, religious sisters and brothers, and lay catechists. SECOND COLLECTION FOR MISSIO SCOTLAND
NOVEMBER ENVELOPES – with names of those you wish to be remembered at Mass in November (unless a specific Mass intention is requested) can be put in an envelope with the name & donations. These will be placed on/around altar for the duration of November. Please hand to Fr Piotr. Remembrance book is out too for names to be added.
CHRISTMAS NATIVITY: This year we would like to put on a nativity with the children of the church. The children must be in primary 1 and above to take part. We will be singing and there will be speaking parts such as the narrator and the characters of a nativity . They will not have to audition to be in it. We would need a commitment from the children to attend all or most of the rehearsals which will be on a Friday at 4pm until 5 pm in the church hall. We would be looking to start rehearsals on the 31st of October. Performance date will be announced later.
CONTACTLESS COLLECTION: If you don’t have cash with you and you are still willing to donate some money to help parish with daily maintenance, there is a card machine at the back of the church on a table. Choose any amount you wish and tap the card. If a Gift Aider you must insert your card to pay.
